The goal of our collaboration is to provide a professional content
that will be used for their web communication.

As a member of OCUS' community, you are asked to shoot photos that will be defined in this guideline. Please read it
carefully and follow the instructions.

If you are scheduling for the first time and are not sure of the correct process, please follow the instructions here to ensure that you follow the correct protocol with the business owner.
By accepting this assignment, you will be representing OCUS in the eyes of our client. We count on you to demonstrate a high level of professionalism in your coming interactions.

To ensure the best photoshoot conditions, don't forget to check your bag before going into the field. Make sure you possess all the hardware to deliver the files with the required settings and equipment.

In addition to the hardware requirements mentioned above, kindly ensure that you have cleaned your sensor and lenses, that your battery is fully charged, and that you have enough space on the memory card to complete the photoshoot without interruptions or obstacles.

You have to follow the path of the tour you are taking. Your work must represent the experience you are living during the tour.
Shoot more than one picture for each space visited.
Details are accepted if they are interesting, don't hesitate to shoot them as well.

We can't shoot on a rainy/stormy day.
Please check the weather 48 hours before the shooting and before booking the activity ticket.

In case of emergency, don't hesitate to call us or give us feedback directly on the comment section on the marketplace.

If the tour guide refuses a photo shoot in a location, please respect this decision and keep us updated in your comment at the end of the shooting.

LIGHT AND BACKGROUND

- Try to play with the light, to make the eyes focus on the action
- Avoid lighting from the top

DO

- Follow the path of the activity and make pictures of every step
- Shoot every detail that would make you wanting to go on an activity like this
- Earning the trust of travellers to encourage them to visit the site
- Establish inspiring but realistic expectations for the destination.
- Reassure and prove to the client that he is in the right place

DON'T

- Do not plan photoshoot during bad weather
- Do not include passing cars
- Do not include alcohol, nudity, or religious signs (except religious buildings)
- Do not frame too wide
- Do not crop the buildings

LIGHT AND BACKGROUND

- Try to avoid lens flare
- When shooting details, avoid backlight

DO

- Capture the view as seen from the hotel and by the guests
- Try to highlight the main landmarks from that view
- Ensure there are no clear, recognizable faces in frame
- Capture landscape as seen from the hotel and by the guests
- Light must be the most natural possible
- Exterior accessories must be included in the frame (chairs, tables, umbrellas, ...)
- Photo must be taken at around sunset or sunrise
- Brand logo must be included whenever possible
- Flash can be used to balance color temperature and exposure between outside and buidling, only if necessary

DON'T

- Do not schedule the photo during bad weather
- Do not only shoot the landscape
- Do not include any garbage bin, ashtray, etc
- Do not choose view with unrecognizable landscape
- Do not include passing cars

- Favor a shallow depth of field

- Explain correctly the purpose of the image to the person you are shooting
- Bring attention to details and general feeling of the service/product
- Focus on the gesture
- The image needs to be representative of the business
- Make the person sign the release form

- Don't shoot towards the windows if possible
- Don't shoot portraits, focus on the service
- Don't include trash bins, wires and similar clutter if possible
- Do not frame too wide

- Capture the general view of the Tour/activity/Experience
- It has to be obvious that it was shot from a drone

DELIVER

To ensure consistency, OCUS is handling the post-production internally. Please respect the following requirements to make sure that we can deliver the best outcome to our client.


- Don’t edit any of your pictures (no crop, no edit)

- Don’t erase your metadata

- Select your best shots and don't send more files than required

- Follow the naming convention below (take some notes during the photoshoot to keep all the needed information)

- Don’t forget to validate your assignment after uploading your files
