When and how to upload my images
To ensure consistency, OCUS is handling the post-production internally. Please respect the following requirements to make sure that we can deliver the best outcome to our client.
⚠️
- Don’t edit any of your pictures (no crop, no edit)
- Don’t erase your metadata
- Select your best shots and don't send more files than required
- Follow the naming convention below (take some notes during the photoshoot to keep all the needed information)

PHOTOSHOOT OVERVIEW
Your goal is to take beautiful photo that makes people want to go to these beauty salons
⚠️ Remember to always shoot your photos in RAW format, but only upload JPG files to the OCUS platform.
If you need to ask us any questions, you can use the link at the bottom of this page to visit our Help Center, and we'll be happy to help you.
Please capture a total of 10-15 photos per photoshoot.
LANDSCAPE FORMAT ONLY
(Each of these is MANDATORY)
⚠️Take a minimum of 1 photo of:
- Exterior,
- Welcome Area (Interior),
- General View (Interior),
- Key Features / Amenities,
- Action Shots
⚠️For the remaining 5-10, the on-site contact is allowed to ask for any of the following types of photos:
- Interior details
- Key Features / Amenities
- Action Shots
- Exterior
- Product Shots
⚠️DO THE SELECTION WITH THE ON-SITE CONTACT⚠️
Then download the selection on the platform to avoid back and forth with the client later.
Add a comment while uploading the mission that the images have been approved by the on-site contact during the assignment!
If the onsite contact has made a request that is out of the guidelines and you don't let us know, this could lead to a RESHOOT.

A simple straight-on view of the shop.
If the exterior is particularly in bad condition or you can not avoid cars, please compensate with an other type of photo.
⚠️If the salon is in a private house, ask the OSC if she/he wants the exterior shot and put a⚠️ comment on the platform !
Avoid backlight
No constructions
No trash or dirty street
Avoid cars and road signs as much as possible
DO :
Facade must be in the center of the frame
The logo (if present) must be sharp and well exposed
All lights in the frame must be on
Anticipate final 16:9 ratio
Get straight line
DON'T :
Do not include people, cars or road sign (long exposition can be used to achieve it)
Try to not include any outdoor advertising from other brands
Welcome Area (Interior)
Minimum 1
View of the waiting room, try to focus more on the general scene and less on people, avoid slanted shots and try to get straight lines.
Use daylight from windows as main light source when possible
Ceiling lights correctly exposed
DO :
Use a tripod, avoid camera shake
Find the best spot for that area before shooting
Anticipate final 16:9 ratio
Get straight line
DON'T :
Don't shoot towards the windows if possible
Don't shoot portraits, focus on the space
Don't include trash bins, wires and similar clutter, if possible
General View (Interior)
Minimum 1
If possible try to capture the general ambiance of the shop, avoid slanted shots and try to get straight lines.
Use daylight from windows as main light source when possible
Ceiling lights correctly exposed
DO :
Use a tripod, avoid camera shake
Find the best spot for that area before shooting
Anticipate final 16:9 ratio

Highlight unique amenities. Clients love to visit salons with character.

A view of the team working with clients.

Bring attention to details and general feeling of the service

TIPS
Please make sure you upload your media in the correct category.
Don’t forget to validate your assignment after uploading your files
Send your pictures the same day than the photoshoot before midnight
Keep your RAW files until your mission is validated
