PHOTOSHOOT OVERVIEW

KEY POINTS

1) Number of photos to deliver

Check your mission dashboard or your OCUS email notifications for package details on your mission. This tells you the number of dishes you are required to capture.

2) Make sure to respect the dos and don'ts of each type of photo and carry a light grey photo background is now mandatory (no dark or flashy colors)

3) Always keep in mind future formats for the app

- Horizontal format only + multiple ratios to anticipate

4) Angle : 90° or 0° to keep consistency throughout the app

- Single Dishes must be shot at 90° (0° for burgers, tacos, burritos, sushis and drinks)

- Dish Composition always 90° (0° can be used exceptionally if only drinks, burgers , ...)

When choosing an angle, take into consideration how to present the food in the best way possible

-Baguette sandwich shots should be shot from an angle you can easily see the ingredients.

5) Framing :

When you photograph a main dish with a side dish, the main element of the menu must be in the center.

For example, if you have a burger and fries, you need to center the burger and not the entire dish.

6) Delivery

- Ask for the names of the dishes to the on-site contact, you will need them when you rename your pictures

- Follow the delivery process diligently. More details provided at the bottom of the page

According to the situation and the weather, adapt these recommended settings. Use long shutter speed if needed but don’t use too high ISO.

We understand unexpected situations can arise in each shoot, so please use your best judgement and leave a comment to describe the photoshoot conditions when uploading your photos on OCUS platform.

Always shoot in RAW, but upload JPG files.
